selva espiral explores a unique musical language called “paleo-futurismo”, which draws from ancestral, indigenous, and pre-Hispanic musical traditions while integrating modern experimental guitar techniques and textures. The music of Selva Espiral is inspired by the legacy of Ernesto "Teto" Ocampo, a Colombian composer and guitarist known for fusing Andean, Caribbean, and indigenous Colombian music with avant-garde and minimalist approaches. Teto’s influence can be heard in the rhythmic structures, modal colors, and spiritual undercurrents of Selva Espiral’s work.
